Most things should be covered in the guide or are generally the same for all exchanges but if I've missed something or something comes up, ask it here or on any other post, or PM the mod and I'll try my best to answer it as soon as I can, as well as putting the information below as sort of an ad-hoc FAQ.

In no real order as of yet;

When are the unassociated pairings going to be associated?
So, I approve tags on the go most of the time. This year I've had a free day in the middle of nominations to catch the first half but that might not always be the case. The plan is to do them at the end of nominations in one fell swoop. If you're concerned about wasting a nomination slot then please use the ctrl+f feature to find already approved tags. Tag clarification posts will be set up as needed.

Are vids allowed as a medium?
For this first year, I have to say no. I don't have a anoymous collection set up for them and having done a few years of festivids, I know it's not the most reliable way of hosting a vid; sites are more likely to take them down than fic or art. Perhaps in the future, when I can do a few test runs before the round gets started.

How do I nominate a non-consensual ship?
However you feel most comfortable. Either as Character A/Character B or Character A & Character B or I will also accept nonconathon style nominations such as Character A non-cons Character B. You can also nominate non-con as an additonal tag. Please bear in mind though that unless non-con is specified in the pairing or matched upon as an additional tag. Optional details are optional.

Is CW Plus eligible?
Yes.

Any chance of adding vids as a medium?

I personally have no issues with vids as a medium (actually a retired vidder myself) but I’m not sure how vids could maintain an anonymous aspect until creator reveals. I know festivids had trouble over the years with hosting sites and ao3 doesn’t currently host vids themselves so it would have to be a site that can embed to ao3. My first thought was to create a throwaway YouTube login but the reason I stopped vidding was because they forcibly linked my YouTube account to my google account.

What has your experience been, is there an easy way around it?

The usual strategy is to create an account called Anonymous Gift Vidder or whatever on YouTube or Vimeo, then choose the option that keeps the uploaded vid out of the search results (for YT) or password protects it, while putting the password in the body of the AO3 post (for Vimeo). There's a full explanation here.

Anyway sometimes no one ends up creating for this media option, so it's not a huge deal either way, but I might if it was a thing and I always like to see more things included.

When are the unassociated pairings going to be associated?

You have doubles under Smallville
Clark Kent/Lex Luthor
Clark Kent/Lex Luthor (Smallville)

This happens when you don't disambiguate tags from fandoms with different versions of the same characters.

You have this wandering tag under Smallville:
Kara Danvers/Laurel Lance/Oliver Queen

That is clearly Arrowverse.

I have the tag clean up scheduled for a couple of days before sign ups open. Right now the quickest way for me to get nominations approved for everyone is to approve them on the go, which is easy enough if I recognise the fandom as being CW. The tags falling out of their fandoms are ones that aren’t canon tags so associations for those have to be set up manually, and as I’m not that well versed in some shows as I am others, I will have to do this side by side with both google and the ao3 canon tags to make sure the right tag is associated with the right fandom and I’ll need to sit down with a proper computer and a decent window of free time to do that. The other way would mean holding nominations back and not approving them unless I’m at my computer, which would be even more frustrating, I’m sure as nobody would know which fandoms and pairings have already been nominated.

If you’re worried about using up a nomination space on something already there, then you can select “expand all” for each category and hit control plus f to find a tag by typing in your chosen pairing. On the go, I can approve nominations at least 4 times a day, unless there is an issue with the fandom not being CW, so there’s less risk your chosen pairing is in the queue than if I wait to approve it.
